Nanotexnalogiya rivojlanishi biosensorlar hajmining sezilarli darajada kichuklashishiga va aniqlik darajasini ortishiga olib keldi. Biomolekulalar antigenlar, antikorlar va DNK larni nanozarrachalar tomonidan belgilanishi elektrokimyoviy biosensorlarning rivojlanishida muhim o’rin egallab kelmoqda.
